The Nav Durga Group is one of the Eastern & Southern India’s most respected business houses and is founded by Shri Sawarmal Gadodia under whose guidance the group grows from strength to strength. The group started in 1990 with the incorporation of M/s Scan Steels Limited (SSL), the flagship company of the group. SSL commenced its commercial production of Rolling Mill at Ramabahal near Rajgangpur, Distt. Sundergarh, Odisha. SSL was the first to start a DRI unit for manufacturing of sponge iron in the state of Odisha. The group gradually starting from a re-rolling mill over the period through acquisitions and mergers has become an Integrated Steel with unitscoming in other parts of the country like Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh besides Odisha. Over the years, the group has added new manufacturing facilities in Eastern, Central and Southern parts of India. During 2007, the group acquired Nav Durga Fuels Pvt. Ltd. in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh having a manufacturing facility of Billets and in a short span of two years was able to turnaround the face of the company by achieving profitability. Further in the southern part of India, the Company acquired an existing DRI unit of 200 TPD at Bellary, Karnataka in 2009 under Scan Steels Limited.​
In 2009, ATR Group began as AK Developers & Associates, completing several residential projects in Bhubaneswar like Shree Residency, ATR Aastha Residency, Tamanna House, and Urban Petals. Recognizing the growing trend of nuclear families ATR Group launched Tamanna Senior Living Homes pvt.ltd in April 2021. Their aim is to revolutionize senior living by providing care, companionship, and comfort. Mr. Aman Agrawal, born in Rajgangpur, a small town of Odisha, famous for Cement and iron Industry, completed his graduation from BJB College, Bhubaneswar, in Management Hons in the year 1999 and then did his post-graduation in Master’s in Business Administration from Delhi University in 2001.
Armed with a comprehensive background in Telecom, organized retail, and real estate, Mr. Agrawal has been at the forefront of ATR GROUP’s dynamic leadership. His strategic vision and commitment to innovation have elevated ATR GROUP to a position of prominence, shaping the future of real estate in the region and now taking the wisdom forward in association with Nav Durga Group under Urban Developers & Builders he has currently plans of developing more than 15 Million Sq Ft of real estate in Bhubaneswar alone in the next 3 years and more projects in rourkela, jharsuguda & guwahati.
Mr. Nimish Gagodia, born and raised in Rajgangpur, Odisha, completed his early education there before pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at Symbiosis, Pune. Following his MBA, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey as a director of Scan Steels Pvt. Ltd., one of Odisha’s largest steel houses.
He later founded the Navdurga Group, diversifying into sectors such as Ethanol, Tea Gardens, Resorts, Realty, Logistics, Mining, and Education. Today, the group operates with an annual turnover exceeding ₹5,000 crore.
Under his exceptional leadership and business acumen, the Navdurga Group has evolved into a strong and profitable enterprise.
